Hey all, It's been a few days since I've posted so I figured I'd pop in and say that I have very little to report. The Super Bowl was tonight. I have been really sucked back into football for the first time in ages these past couple years, so I'm sad that another year is over. Then again, I'm ready to look to the future in more than one way. Football-wise, the future MUST be brighter than the recent past for the Bills, who have had one winning season and no playoff appearances this decade. Hopefully a new coaching staff, philosophy, and draft class will help to change that, although I am sure they will find a way to botch it all. The only true hope for the Bills lies in the future when ownership inevitably changes hands. Although it is scary since Ralph Wilson has absolutely no succession plan for the team. The Bills' only hope is that a high-bidder comes out of nowhere and wants to help the team stay put. It's unlikely, but hey, it can happen.
The other reason the Super Bowl makes me look to a brighter future is I won't get sucked into the TV watching football every weekend anymore. I will have to find a new excuse for feeling like I haven't accomplished anything in a weekend at home.
So I'm really poor. I thought I might be able to start saving a little money towards the summer/more distant future. Then the utility bill came. I hope winter falls off a bridge. Money's going to be tight until it gets warm again.
Nothing new on the music front. I've been blowing dust off of old covers I haven't played in a long time. I need to do a better job of keeping track of my repertoire. Luckily I have the recordings from the shows I played at Midd last fall and spring. The fall show is online. Click on the "Concerts I've played" link on the blogroll at the top right of the screen. I'll work on getting the Coffeehouse show from April up there. I've been struggling with the files and converting them to the right formats, but hopefully I'll get them up soon. There's also a couple shows up there from the band I was in in high school. Here's a link to that page: http://www.archive.org/details/SoundFamiliar .
None of that stuff is new developments though. Just old stuff I want you to see if you didn't know it existed. I'll keep you posted when something new comes up that I deem fit for public consumption. Keep the rubber-side down,
